Jack Russell (Jack Russell’s Great White) Interview

One of the best voices to come out of the ’80s metal scene was Jack Russell of Great White.  His signature bluesy pipes rocked the MTV generation with classic hits like “Rock Me” and broke many young teenage hearts with the ballad “Save Your Love.”  Russell and his former band have since parted ways but Jack is back on the scene with his  new project Jack Russell’s Great White, which he has had in the works since late in 2011.  It hasn’t been an easy road for Russell as he has had his struggles with alcohol over the years.  After passing into a coma after a day of binge drinking in 2015, Russell has been clean and sober and Jack Russell’s Great White has finally come into fruition with the release of their full length debut “He Saw It Comin’.”  BackstageAxxess had the opportunity to chat with Jack and find out about the new record, the formation of the band, and his personal struggles with addiction.  Please join us for an open and honest conversation with one of the best voices in rock and roll, Jack Russell.
