One of the steadier voices in rock for the past 30 plus years has been Joe Lynn Turner. Joe is best known for his vocal work with Deep Purple, Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen. He recently released a third album under the moniker Sunstorm, on which he also collaborated with Pink Cream 69.
Joe is always out on the road in some part of the world. Recently, he stopped by the Willow Creek Winery in Sheridan, NY, for a gig and we were able to have a candid conversation with this rock and roll mainstay. We talked about his current tour, if he would work again with Yngwie, and his thoughts on Ritchie Blackmore’s current musical tastes. Lets catch up with Joe in the beautiful setting of the Willow Creek Winery.
* Editors note: This interview was conducted days before original and founding member of Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lorde passed away.
Thanks to Ross Catalino from Back 2 Back Entertainment and Lisa Eichholzer-Walker for setting up the interview with Joe. We also would like to thank Willow Creek Winery for their hospitality in hosting the interview. For more information on Joe, please go to: Joe Lynn Turner .
