Robby Krieger (The Doors) Interview

This interview we are about to show you was over a year in the making. We were set up to do an interview with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robbie Krieger of The Doors but unfortunately our time was already slotted for another interview so we could not get it done at the 2015 NAMM tradeshow. We attempted to connect at some of his shows throughout the past year but barriers kept popping up along the way. After reaching out to one of Krieger’s assistants before the 2016 NAMM tradeshow started, we were determined to make this elusive interview happen.  In fact, I was shocked to a phone call from Robbie himself to ensure that we would get it done.

Let’s fast forward to Saturday January 23, 2016. After his performance at the Gibson booth, we sat down with the legend to talk about all things Doors, Krieger, Jim Morrison and whatever else came to mind. Krieger talked about some of his charity ventures and what the fans can expect from the 50 year anniversary of The Doors.

Editors note: Krieger answered by saying management decided the band would celebrate the 50 year anniversary in 2017.  Shortly after this interview, however, it was announced that both surviving members of the Doors, Krieger and drummer John Densmore, would be doing a show to celebrate their former bandmate Ray Manzarek on February 12, 2016.

There are lots of topics covered here and one of the most informative interviews you will find anywhere that has been recently conducted with Krieger.  At times, the hustle and bustle going on at the Gibson booth made it hard to hear the soft-spoken Krieger.  We made it work and hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did bringing it to you. Ladies and gentleman…from Los Angeles California…Robbie Krieger of The Doors!
