After fronting Coal Chamber for years, Dez Fafara has found himself right where he wants to be. Devildriver has brought the level of satisfaction that Dez has been searching for. Its evident during a live show that he is more than happy to be fronting Devildriver. Not only is Dez a fantastic performer, hes one of the coolest and down to earth guys youll ever meet. I know it sounds clich, but its true. Dez treated me like an old friend as soon as I showed up and even hummed a few bars with me after the interview. Singing with Dez Fafara after a Devildriver interview; if that aint a cool customer, I dont know who is.
Backstageaxxess had a chance to talk with Dez about how the band came to be, whats behind the bands name, as well as why he left Coal Chamber. Enjoy!
We would like to thank Amy Sciarretto and Lily Ryden from Roadrunner Records for setting up the interview with Dez. For more information on Dez and Devildriver, please go to: http://www.devildriver.com/.
