At this years NAMM expo, Orange Amplifiers unveiled a new signature amp named after one of the most highly visible axeman on the planet. We are talking about Slipknot and Stone Sour’s Jim Root. “Number 4” as known to his Slipknot fans, took the time to talk about how the idea came up for the new amp and the specifics of it. A beautiful looking amp was on display and we got an up-close personal look at it inside a dark secret room before Jim met his fans to sign autographs.
Not only did we talk about the amp but the future plans for both Slipknot and Stone Sour; we chatted about the possibility of him taking on another musical project too. In addition, Jim talked about his handyman skills when remodeling his home in Florida.
