Mike Doughty rose to prominence in the 1990s as the singer and de facto leader of the indie rock band Soul Coughing. While some may only know him from his stint in Soul Coughing, Doughty has managed to carve out a respectable career as a solo performer and prolific writer.
Recently Mike sat down with Backstage Axxess to discuss his recently released memoir entitled “The Book of Drugs,” which chronicles his descent into drug use and the abuse he took from his former band mates. It was a spirited and candid interview that fans of Mike Doughty should enjoy.
We would like to thank Lissa Warren VP, Senior Director of Publicity Da Capo Press / Da Capo Lifelong Books for setting up the interview with Mike. For more information on Mike and purchasing this book, please go to: Mike Doughty .
