One of the most anticipated albums of 2013 is going to be from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jason Newstead’s project Newsted. “Heavy Metal Music” will be released on August 6, 2013, through Chophouse Records (Jason’s record label). The band is currently on the Gigantour and the third stop was at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY.
BackstageAxxess sat down with Jason and guitarist Mike Mushok to talk about the CD and how the band has been quickly evolving. We also talked about how Mike came into the fold quickly to round out the band. We dove into a little Metallica and what lies ahead for Newsted once the album drops.
