Why Cheap Trick doesn’t get more accolades for being one of the greatest American rock bands ever is still a question that has never been answered. So anytime you get to talk to one of its founding members it’s a real honor. That was the case at this year’s NAMM expo as we happened to bump into bassist Tom Petersson as he was demoing his new bass from Gretsch. The beautiful 12-string guitar made its debut and looked every bit of the bass that Tom has been playing on stage for the last few years.
In addition to the bass, we talk about if there is any new music in Cheap Tricks future. We also discuss what touring plans the band has and everything else Cheap Trick.
