Sheehan is a native of Buffalo, New York, and is best known for his work with Talas, Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, Mr. Big and Niacin. The Winery Dogs, featuring Sheehan on bass, Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob) behind the drum kit and Richie Kotzen (Poison, Mr. Big) on guitar, formed in California and they are on tour in support of their self-titled debut album.

Check out our up close and personal conversation to find out who helped this power trio get together and how they recorded this album. Sheehan also reveals some stories from his early days with Talas and talks about how fun it is to perform in his hometown. The Winery Dogs will be making a stop at The Tralf in Buffalo, New York, on July 26th. Billy Sheehan is looking forward to seeing some old friends and meeting new ones. Some exclusive “Dog Treats” are available too!
