Stewart Copeland (The Police) Interview

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stewart Copeland graced NAMM with his presence this year by appearing at the H.O.T (Hands on Training) Zone. Copeland’s accomplishments are a mile long including being a well-respected composer. His biggest accomplishment obviously is being the drummer for one of the most revered rock bands of all time in The Police.

Copeland is considered one of the best drummers in the world. His orchestration of putting together The Police and how the band functioned as a unit thereafter was talked about by Copeland in this rare, candid, open conversation with NAMM attendees.

I must say this was probably the highlight for us from NAMM 2015. We were able to enjoy a few minutes of Copeland’s time after he conducted the open forum. We discussed his current project with renowned pianist John Kimura Parker, who he will be performing with in March of 2015. We enjoyed hearing Copeland talk about whatever came to mind.

We are proud to bring this interview with the highly intellectual drummer of The Police, Stewart Copeland!
