Tal Wilkenfeld, the 29-year-old bass sensation, is currently opening up for The Who’s 50th year anniversary tour, currently making its way through the United States. In the midst of opening up for The Who, Wilkenfeld is playing solo shows on her days off. The day after her stop at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, she played a show in Buffalo, NY. Before her show we sat down with her to talk about how she landed such a great gig with The Who. We also talked about her time spent with the legendary Jeff Beck and how she was originally discovered. In addition, we discussed Tal’s future plans to release a sophomore effort. The day following our interview, the first track “Corner Painter” was released.
