If you have never heard of Lukas Nelson and Promise of The Real do yourself a favor and check them out. They are a truly unique band that combines elements of rock, country, blues, and whatever else it can generate and throw into the mix. Lead by it’s front man Lukas Nelson, this band has graced the stage with Farm Aid 4 years running.
At this year’s concert we grabbed Lukas Nelson (vocals/guitar), Anthony Logerfo (drums) and Corey McCormick (bass) to talk about the impact of playing at Farm Aid. We also delved into the prognosis of a follow up to their last studio effort “Wasted.” BackstageAxxess also asked about playing on the Lynyrd Skynyrd “Simple Man” cruise coming up this October and their thoughts on playing with one of their influences in Neil Young.
