BackstageAxxess was once again thrilled to have the opportunity to talk to Doro Pesch before her show at the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio this past Tuesday. Despite the inclement weather, and the dull hum of the bus running in the background due to it, we were able to talk to Doro about their current tour which will culminate with a special show at the Gramercy Theatre in NYC on October 20, 2014.
We also talk to Doro about her job as a first time host for the Metal Hammer awards in Berlin, back in September. She also talks about winning the Lifetime Legend Award and what these types of awards actually mean to her personally. We discuss the consistency of her band and what it’s been like to play with guys like Nick Douglas and Johnny Dee for over 20 years. We also dive into the world of wines and champagnes as Doro has some collectible bottles that bare her name and image.
We ask her how involved she was with the process and what she thinks of them. Plus, we talk about the writing process for the follow up to “Raise Your Fist” and where it stands now.
